Our Process
Consultation Meeting - The process will start with a consultation meeting so we can get a feel for what you are looking for and get a chance to look over floor plans that will suit you. We are more than happy to help you build the home of your dreams whether you are working with an architect on a design, would like to look at our past home plans or want us to work on creating a completely new custom plan for you.
Design / Financing – drafting blueprints: We offer full drafting services to create your vision. Whether it be for a new construction project, renovation project or deck we can handle it! During the designing stage it works well to work with a lender to help create a project that is within your personal budget. We do not work with just one lender, we have many options to help get you the financing you need and are comfortable with.
Selections - Selections and specifications are finalized to complete the bid process. A full set of construction plans are created to maximize design, innovation, and value engineering to meet your budget. Upon completion, a final construction agreement is presented for your approval. We provide samples you can see and touch to plan every detail of your home. From the exterior color palette to the interior finishes down to every architectural detail, our team helps you define your style and create a living space that fits you perfectly.
Bidding - After Selections are complete, we can then complete the bidding process. The bidding process is breaking down every step of the building process to get final pricing on the build project.
Break Ground - Once all the final documents have been completed and financing is in place, now is the time to get our hands dirty! This is when you will see equipment brought in to begin the excavation for the foundation and the building of the driveway. From this first phase of construction, all the way to the final home orientation meeting, every homeowner will be kept up-to-date on the building progress. This will be accomplished through photo updates provided to the homeowners
Home Orientation / Closing – The morning of closing we will do a final walk through to ensure everything is complete and then hand you the keys!
Construction Consultation
CAP Custom Homes offers construction consultation for our clients that are interested in general contracting their own home but would like guidance along the way. We would love to assist you with the build process of your home and can help walk you through each step. This may include assisting you with drafting services, permitting, finding financial institutions, contacting sub-contractors, creating timelines and helping find solutions to anything that may come up during the build.
